Delphos served as a member of a USTDA-financed team of financial, technical, regulatory/legal, and environmental experts retained by SNTL, the largest logistics company in Morocco. Delphos was selected through a competitive bid to assess the feasibility of a rooftop solar installation at a new company warehouse in Mohammedia near Casablanca. The project will be the first large-scale (more than 1 MW) rooftop solar PV installation in the country and will pave the way for additional distributed generation solutions for corporate users. Delphos analyzed the creditworthiness of SNTL as an off-taker and prepared a financial model to assess the feasibility of the project using NPV analysis of the incremental energy savings and net sales to the grid at various levels of projected power tariffs vs. the cost of the system. We also commented on the regulatory changes that will be needed to permit medium and low voltage IPP access to ONEE’s grid.
