The Worcester Polytechnic Institute (“WPI”) Alumni Association presented William Delphos with the Robert H. Goddard Award for Outstanding Professional Achievement. The award is in recognition of a distinguished career embodying the WPI ideal of leadership and making a positive difference in the world. Mr. Delphos served as a university trustee from 1984 to 1991 and has since held the title of trustee emeritus.  Mr. Delphos is a widely held expert on international trade and investments and is an enthusiastic supporter of WPI. 

July 2014

Andrew Brown, Vice President, will join global ICT specialists on a panel entitled “ICT Innovations in the Finance, Retail and Government Sectors” as the moderator from 2:30-3:45p.m. Other panelists include Dr. Fred Okeng’o Matiang’i, Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Information and Communication, John Ngumi, Chairman, Konza Technopolis Development Authority and Susan Tuttle, Director, Middle East and Africa, IBM.  The conference will take place at The Willard Intercontinental in Washington, DC on July 9th, 2014.

Delphos International served as a sole advisor to an Ormat-led consortium to raise over $350 million of senior debt from the Asian Development Bank (“ADB”) to construct, operate, and maintain the Sarulla geothermal project in Indonesia with total generation capacity of 330 MW. The other project sponsors were Itochu Corporation, Kyushu Electric Power Company, and Medco Power Indonesia.
